Hello hello!

In the past few months... pretty much all summer... I have been taking photographs while on my adventures. It has been the beginnings of my dabbling in action photography. I never knew how much fun action photography could be, but after my small amount of experience, I find it to be quite addicting. Could this be a possible career option? ... Probably not as my sole photography career because I love portraiture so much, but it will definitely be something I'd be willing to do.

Anyway, I shared these lovely thoughts all with the purpose of letting you lovely people know that there are a few albums on their way... be excited!!!

New photography has been added! Also, if you haven't noticed, there has been a major change to the site layout. I think the new backgrounds and colors are more fun... Yes? No?

Sorry I haven't been able to post anything new in the past few months.

I am still varnishing the octopus paintings and working on the larger drawings. They really are taking a lot longer than I thought it would take to finish them.

I also wanted to let everyone know that my sister (another talented artist) and I are planning to do an art sidewalk sale this sometime this summer! We are really excited and are going to ask some of our other artist friends to join us. I can't say what she or others has planned in the way of art to sell, but I plan on having some prints of my drawings and some fun hand-printed t-shirts to sell. It should be a lot of fun!

That is all I have to share for now, I will try to keep everyone posted on anything new.

And as always, I really appreciate any comments anyone leaves for me, especially if you have any critiques/suggestions or questions.

Just wanted to update everyone on what's going on recently because there have not been any new uploads.

I do have some new octopus paintings (about 20) that need to be added, but they are in the middle of being varnished. After varnishing I will make some time to scan them all.

I am also working on some more ink drawings, but they are larger scale and are taking a lot longer to finish. Hopefully I can finish one in the next week or two and have it posted. Wish me luck!!

I decided to take away the prints. I didn't really like the way the prints were being done, so I am not selling prints anymore, for now. In the future I will, but it will be done a different way.

I have a bit of really great news!!

So, first off, I have business cards. They are awesome and beautiful. I made some for my art website (this one) and some for SHOESbyTHOR. If anyone wants me to send them a small stack of cards so they can hand them out, just send me your address and I'll mail some. Send addresses to my email (casey@gonatusonyx.com).

Second, I am now selling art prints!! You can purchase prints from society6. I will add the link to my society6 page under connections. The prints available right now are the five drawings I have finished so far, and the prints come in two sizes that are larger than the originals. These are the titles:
*Two Suns Collide and Battle Ensues
*Something About The Sun
*Octopus Lake
*Alesha1
* Alesha2
All of these prints are being sold at $40 each for smaller sized prints and $50 for larger sized prints (before shipping charges). They also come as stretched canvases, also in two sizes. As stretched canvases they sell at $85 for smaller sizes and $95 for larger sizes. They are not signed; I will be doing a limited edition of signed prints at some unknown time in the future. I finally had some prints made yesterday for a few of my drawings. I just have to matt them and then they will be ready to sell !! I'm not really sure where I will be selling them yet, but I'll keep the site posted as to what is going on with the prints. HA! This is super exciting !!

If anyone would like to ask me questions about the prints (like, perhaps, which drawings they are?? or, pricing??) just send me an email.

I just added a bunch of new paintings to the website for everyone to have a look at. They are mostly more mini octopus paintings, a couple of ink paintings, and a drawing.

I also just want to express my appreciation to everyone who has been viewing my website. I have to say that I am pretty impressed. Last year I only had viewers from six countries, and this year I already have viewers from twelve countries! I wonder how many countries will be on the list by the end of the year... Anyway, thank you to everyone who has been viewing my website, especially to those who have been sharing it with others.

WOO! There is a new drawing posted. And to anyone who has been to my etsy shop so far, I apologize for not having any items up to see. I've been unable to take pictures of any shoes right now, but I'll be on it very soon. Also, more lomography pictures are on their way (to my LomoHome website) but I'll re-update when they are finally here. WOO!

So, for those who haven't noticed, I've added two new sections to the website. They are really actually links to outside websites of mine.

The LomoHome section takes you to my lomography website, where you can see all of my lovely lomographs in all their crazy creativity (well, at least you can see the ones that have been scanned and uploaded).

The SHOESbyTHOR section takes you to my etsy shop where you can buy shoes with my designs on them. The designs are similar to the pen and ink drawings I have done, which (so far) can be seen in the Artist Trading Cards section of my portfolio.

Another update, I am working on more pen and ink drawings that will be put in a new section under the portfolio called "Drawings". I will also be scanning more lomographs, so check out that page every now and then.

I finally found most of my photographs, so they are rescanned and larger. There are still a few more to find, but at least the majority of them are there now.

I decided to add Artist Trading Cards to my website, so I have just finished scanning them and adding them to the website. If anyone would like to trade just email me.

I have finally been able to scan new paintings, so there are more paintings in the Mini Octopus Series. I do still need to re-scan all the photographs so they are larger, but they still need to be unpacked and found. That could take a good amount of time, so the current sizes will have to do for the meantime.

So of course this is my new website. I have to apologize though for the lack of art, and the size of the current pieces. I am in the middle of moving, so I have not been able to scan any new art recently, and all the photographs I have displayed so far need to be rescanned because I have changed their sizes to be smaller. So once I have moved and unpacked everything I will be scanning more art.
