An on going series of small paintings. They are canvases covered in layers of colors, and each finalized with an inky image of an octopus. They are all coated in UVLS gel topcoat, and then sprayed with a removable glossy UVLS varnish.
The point of these paintings is to be ironic. Individually there is no symbolism or depth, they are simply colorful paintings with octopii. But as a whole, when completed, the irony will be in the name of the collection, "Mini Octopus Series". The irony might not be obvious yet, but I decided when I started this collection that it should have one thousand pieces. So in effect, despite being called a mini-series (implying a collection of three to six pieces) it will actually be a huge collection, and the word 'mini' in the title is actually referring to the small canvas sizes.
